The Profit report provides a comprehensive overview of your sales, summarizing information on Gross Sales, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and Profit within a specific time frame. This report enables you to identify the most profitable products among those you sell. The report is based on the Sales and Shipments transactions.
- In the Kladana workspace, select Sales → Profit.
- Select one of the following options to base your report on:
- By Products. Enables tracking of profitable and unprofitable products within the selected date range.
- By Employees. Enables tracking of sales and profit generated by team members to calculate professional fees.
- By Customers. Enables tracking of sales revenue from each customer to analyze which customers are profitable and the reasons behind it.
- By Sales Channels. Enables tracking the profitability of each sales channel in use.
- If you want to check all transactions related to the product in the report, click on it. These transactions help you find inconsistency in report data. For example, if the product profitability looks higher than normal or the cost is unusually low. Also, Kladana highlights sales made in a negative stock.
- If you want to visualize a report, click Graph.
Returns are displayed for team members who made an original sale transaction. Even if the return transaction was created by someone else.
Working with the report
The data in the Profitability report is organized into three main categories: Sales, Returns, and Profitability:

Sales. Shows the summary of sold items for selected date range including:
- Quantity of units sold
- Number of sale transactions
- Product sale price
- Average cost
- Gross sales amount
- Cost of goods sold (COGS)

Returns. Shows the summary of returned items for selected date range including:
- Quantity of units returned
- Number of return transactions
- Product sale price
- Average cost
- Total returns amount
- Cost of goods sold (COGS)

Profitability. Shows how much you earned selling each product and how profitable was selling them including:
- COGS
- Product
- Sales
- Gross Profit
