The price editing allows you to edit prices in bulk, set discounts and mark-ups, change currency, and set prices based on the price types.
In the Kladana workspace, you can edit prices in different ways: in the product card, in the product catalog, in the transactions of Purchases, Sales, Financials, Products and Services sections.
Price editing in the catalog
- In the Kladana workspace, select Inventory → Products and Services.
- If you want to edit prices of products in the catalog, click on the checkboxes of the products which prices you want to edit.
If you want to edit prices of products in a folder, select the folder on the left. The price update will affect all products in the selected folder and its subfolders. If no products are selected in the catalog, the price update will affect all the products. - Click Edit and select from the drop-down menu Set prices.
- Specify new price settings:
- Price type
- Currency
- New price. Enter a new price value or calculate it from another price by formula.
- Rounding up. Select the variant of rounding up the calculated price to convenient numbers.
- Click Save.
If the price was increased by 100 units, you need to lower it by 100 units.
If the new price was calculated by formula, re-editing will not return the original price ($3 + 10% = $3.3, and $3.3 — 10% = $2.97). In this case, to return to the original price, set the rounding up to the smallest units in the price. For example, if there are no cents in the price of an item, round it up to 1.0. So, back to the example above, rounding up $2.97 to 1.0 would give exactly the original price — $3.
If the price contains one decimal place, you need to round it up to 0.1. For example, $3.3 + 10% = $3.63, $3.63 — 10% = $3.267, rounding $3.267 to 0.1 will give the original price of $3.3.
