Projects allow you to evaluate the success of a promotion, discount, or a new sales channel. This attribute is assigned to transactions and becomes available in reports.
Create project
- In the Kladana workspace, click on the user icon and select Settings → Projects.
- Click +Project.
- Enter the project Name.
- Indicate the project Code and Description if necessary.
- Click Save.
Outdated projects can be archived. Archived information is hidden but remains stored in the system. If needed, you can always retrieve data from the archive and resume working with it.
You can also edit, copy, or delete a project:
- Select the project from the list of projects.
- Make the necessary changes to the fields, or click Edit and choose Copy or Delete.
- Click Save.
Link a Project to a Transaction
You can link Sales Orders, Invoices, Shipments, Receivings, Payments, and other transactions to projects. To associate a transaction with a project, navigate to the transaction and select the project in the Project field.
After linking, the transaction can be found in lists using the project filter.
Project reports
You can evaluate the success of a project using reports in the following sections:
- Financials → Cash Flow Report
- Financials → Statement of Accounts
- Financials → Profit and Loss
- Sales → Profit
- Sales → Sales Funnel
- Inventory → Stock Movement
Let’s look at an example using the Profit and Loss report.
- In the Kladana workspace, go to Financials → Profit and Loss.
- Click Filter.
- Select the project and click Find.
