Production Operation is a completed part of a production process (e.g. mixing of ingredients, cutting of fabric).
Production Operations are used for the following:
- Raw materials and production cost control;
- Production time tracking;
- Production progress monitoring.
Routing is a sequence of Production Operations. First, create the Production Operations, and then use them to create a Routing. Different Routings can contain the same operations.
In the Kladana workspace, there is the Main Routing. It includes the Main Operation. You can edit it or create your own Routing.
Further, while creating a Bill of Materials, you should specify a Routing and indicate the materials and costs required for each operation.
Create Production Operation
- In the Kladana workspace, select Production → Production Operations.
- Click +Operation.
- Enter the Name and Description.
- Specify which employees can perform the operation:
- If it can be any employee, leave the toggle Any employee can perform the production operation enabled.
- If only certain employees can perform the operation, disable the Any employee can perform the production operation toggle. Then, click Select employee, check the employees in the list, and click Add. Alternatively, click Add all, and then remove from the added list those employees who cannot perform this stage. In the Production Order, only the specified employees will be available for assignment to the Production Operation.
- If it can be any employee, leave the toggle Any employee can perform the production operation enabled.
- Click Save, and then Close.
Create all the necessary Production Operations in this way.
Сreate Routing
- In the Kladana workspace, select Production → Routings.
- Click +Routing. Enter the Name and Description.
- Click Add another operation and select the Production Operations from the list.
- To edit a Production Operation, click on the icon .
- You can change the order of the operations using the arrows . The last Production Operation should be the operation that completes the production process. When it is completed, the finished product is sent to the stock.
- By default, Production Operations are performed in the sequence they are arranged. To execute multiple operations simultaneously within the same Routing, select the operations in the list that need to be performed next.
- To set the default sequence of stages, select Next operation → Fill in next stages in consecutive order. To assign the final stage of the process as the next stage for all stages, select Next operation → Set final stage as next stage for all stages.
- Click Save.
